Restaurants and good pub food are available within a few minutes cycle ride from us.

In Fletching - just a short bike ride away or a leisurely stroll along the public footpath which passes next door to our farm - we have the Griffin Inn - a highly acclaimed "Gastro Pub". Excellent food and wine in a superb setting. 

Almost next door to the Griffin is the Rose and Crown - a characterful pub and restaurant, again serving delicious home made food.

In Piltdown itself, the Piltdown Man Pub offers excellent food using fresh, locally sourced ingredients, large portions and great value for money.

In summer months their outside area offers an adventure playground and petting farm for children with resident rabbits, chickens, goats, sheep, ponies and much more, along with a sweet shop.

In Shortbridge (1.5 miles) the Peacock Inn offers excellent fare from the picturesque Grade II listed 16th Century Freehouse and Restaurant.

Eating in

Old Spot Farm Shop is just five minutes bike ride away and sells a range of locally farmed and organic meat and grocery produce.

Even closer is Batts Bridge Farm where free range eggs are available "at the farm gate"

In Maresfield (2 miles) is Park Farm - free range eggs, locally produced bacon and cheese.

Boathouse Organic Farm Shop in Isfield (4 miles) offers organic produce including groceries, meats, vegetables, bread, flour, eggs, dairy, prize winning sausages, home cured and smoked bacon and gammons.
