Walks

Over two thirds of East Sussex is designated an area of outstanding natural beauty.

Walks can include woodland, rivers, rolling downland and wildlife areas such as wetlands, dunes and shingle.

The link below takes you to the database of walks containing dozens of choices – you can list walks by length or difficulty, or use the interactive map to show walks near here.

You can then print off a detailed map and list useful businesses such as nearby pubs, restaurants and shops.

Camoys Farm Walk

The proximity of the open water at Barcombe Reservoir, added to its location within the Ouse Valley, means that the area has abundant wildlife year round. However, to see the site is at its best, a visit in spring, summer or autumn would be recommended.

Many of the fields around this site are part of a large Countryside Stewardship agreement with measures such as grass margins around arable fields, grassland recreation and hedgerow restoration being implemented.
