Spectre comes to Woodside Cottages (well almost)

Mid-August saw the inaugural open air cinema at Sheffield Park and Gardens with a showing of the latest James Bond film ‘Spectre’ on the Saturday night.

Being only a 5-minute drive away we decided to join friends for a pre-performance picnic ahead of the action-packed film. It’s amazing to think that one minute we are collecting eggs on the farm and the next we fast-forward to Daniel Craig (or his double) performing unbelievable stunts while we sit under the stars in the wildlife haven of the Sheffield Park Estate.

Autumn is the ideal time to visit Sheffield Park, renowned for its array of autumnal colours as the trees change their leaves – and from Woodside Cottages you can prepare  your own picnic made from local produce or, if you prefer, sample the menu at one of the Fletching pubs as you pass through the village on your way to Sheffield Park.
